I know, Brad, and I wonder if the new reality of fragmented media there is no pulling them back from the brink. When you don't have to listen to reason, you can get sideways pretty quickly. J
"The Former Guy would bring down our entire country rather than accept defeat. It’s beyond selfishness, and lives in the realm of sociopathic, malignant narcissism." -- Absolutely true ... and, as I'm sure you know, Trump's been judged by qualified psychiatric professionals as clinically insane. I would argue he's criminally insane. Thanks for the essay.
Bill, I look at that weather map that he felt he had to augment with black Sharpie, and I realize the depth of his illness. His fragile ego would not allow him to let his mistake go. Instead, he had to doctor the map to prove that he was right and that NOAA and the hurricane forecasters in Miami were wrong. When someone has to lie to protect himself from what amounts to zero consequences, we may assume he is crippled by narcissism. I'm not discounting the criminality in much of his actions over the last forty years, just saying he is truly and profoundly damaged goods. J.
I predict that as the Select Committee gets closer to charging Trump with a crime he will exit to his little island.
Hope that's true! I have to wonder if his ego will let him ever leave the stage.
I think he is destined to have one foot in his mouth.
Well said, Jon. The Republican Party has morphed into a cult. It's a truly dangerous portent for our nation.

When the circus comes to town how come it’s always the Democrats that are tasked with following the elephants with brooms and dust pans.
