As usual, well-written. Thank you. P.S. I read somewhere Father Coughlin's radio audience was estimated at 30MM, presumably all adults. I looked up U.S. population at the time: 126MM. So, assuming an adult population of half that, the fascist preacher commanded the ears of about half those adults. So, to your point, America's fascist roots run deep and wide.
Bill, I knew it ran into the tens of millions (according to Rachel), so I'm not surprised. Maybe a little disappointed, but not surprised. Times change; people don't.
Terrific piece Jon. Strangely enough a lot of this is also included in the new film "Amsterdam." And by the way I dislike the comic book stuff but you are spot on with "The Boys." It's great!!
Scary stuff. Nice recap, Jon. Fortunately, I’m at my daughter’s house on the most remote island chain on the planet and for a few blissful days I can pretend it’s not happening.

Parallels my Sheathed Sword piece on Substack. We are not far from the edge of the cliff, even with the results from Tuesday.
Thanks, Gordon. just subscribed to your Substack feed. Can't wait to read it!
Bravo Jon!
