Recommendation for filling the former Randi Rhodes slot on Progressive Voices:

I am writing to recommend that Progressive Voices consider adding The Mark Thompson Show to your Progressive Voices lineup as a compelling replacement for the recently ended Randi Rhodes Show.

The Mark Thompson Show, currently available exclusively on YouTube, is hosted by award-winning journalist Mark Thompson, who brings both serious news analysis and light-hearted commentary to a progressive audience. The show transitioned to YouTube after Cumulus unexpectedly ended KGO radio’s long-running progressive format in San Francisco, where Mark had built a strong following and where he appeared as the final host on that legendary 50,000-watt station. Since then, The Mark Thompson Show has continued to deliver insightful political coverage, impactful interviews, and listener engagement, establishing itself as a staple for progressive listeners online.

I believe The Mark Thompson Show would be an excellent fit with Progressive Voices’ mission to consolidate leading progressive talk and news content for listeners who prefer a one-stop platform, rather than managing multiple podcast apps or navigating YouTube exclusives. Mark’s show offers the kind of timely, in-depth conversation and community that your audience expects from top-tier progressive programming.

Please note, Mark has been away on an Alaskan cruise for the past week. However, if you are interested in discussing this opportunity, his co-host and news anchor Kim McCallister is available at kimmccallister at gmail.com. Kim can relay any questions or interest you have to Mark, who will respond as soon as possible. You can also reply here or send me an email. The above information was also sent to Progressive Voices last week.

Thank you for your consideration,

Paul L Tomaselli, KGO & TMTS fan
