Once again, well said Jon. It's so concerning these "influencers" have no code of ethics or true facts when they spout their opinions. Even more concerning, most of their millions of followers don't care. Love reading and sharing your blog!
Well said, Jon. My guess, however, is that the 30-40 percent of Americans fully ensconced in their alt-reality are beyond unlikely to peek from behind their blinders.
I agree with all this, except... The Washington Post is considered by almost everyone (except Trumpers) to be central or maybe slightly left. To somehow compare them to Fox does WaPo an injustice. All (except Trumpers) agree that Fox not only is far right, but also accuracy doesn't matter. Maybe instead of WaPo you should have used the Palmer Report or something. Even MSNBC, while definitely leaning left, doesn't just outright lie like Fox sometimes does.
Richard, I used the WaPo because, based on the Op-Ed page, the right thinks it to be way left. Feels like straight news to me, and I guess that's the point of the piece. Thanks for your comment. JS

I agree, Brad. The challenge is to get them to "look up." (I think "Don't Look Up" on Netflix is an excellent modern parable.)

Completely understand. And honestly, maybe the Op-Ed is left, I don't know. But the news is not. Sadly, people don't separate the two. Thanks.
