Very, very true, sadly. The agenda-setting role is now very dispersed; Mother Times does not say it all or set the trends. I find I cannot digest social media feeds; they jar my brain; I cannot trust their sourcing; they are full of vitriol on every side. Any time I feel "riled up" I check myself - is this real or just the primitive brain being stimulated. Generally the latter.
