Well written. Although I'll admit, I'm not quite as optimistic as you. You say: "but in the end, they too will succumb to progress." I'm not so sure. With all the election changes already passed by Republicans, I'm concerned that they can maintain a minority government for a long time. Forever? I don't know. But at the age of 66, I'm pretty sure they can maintain it for my lifetime. I hope I'm wrong. I just don't know.
