Amazing column, Jon, as a fellow traveler on this journey. Naturally, I robustly, and on a highly personal note, second all commenters saying that they're so glad you're still here. Overwhelmed by the despicableness of the Orange "Genius" and his obsequious enablers when it comes to these insane attacks on science. Lucky we have Kennedy at the helm, right?
As you described it, immunotherapy promises to be a game changer for cancer patients like my wife. Having an inattentive president disintegrate the research by turning health policy over to the drown-it-in-the-bathtub crowd is beyond maddening.
Brilliant, my friend, and so glad you are still with us.
Thanks, Brad!

So well stated. Personal from the heart and through the pocketbook.
It seems though, at the overarching issue through all of this at these times has to do with a kind of masochism.
How cruel does a tortured and demented person have to be before he can feel
truly appreciated respected and loved?
Glad you are here; sorrow for the millions that will die because, well, like you said...

He looks smaller, shallower and more demented every day.
