Of course, AI only adds to the world's mounting existential threats, including its cousin authoritarianism/citizen surveillance and big-daddy climate change. And too many of the minds driving AI are clinically insane, Sam Altman chief among them. And that's not to mention Trump's near-term quest to demolish the world's economic order.
(As for rogue AI, I criticized Claude the other day -- gave it a "hard C" for a mediocre output despite my experienced, best-practice prompts -- and got back snark).
